Small details make a big impact. These 4 mm Black Safety Eyes are designed specifically for miniature projects where precision matters. If you are crafting tiny amigurumi keychains, small pocket friends, or detailed doll accessories, these eyes are the perfect fit.
Despite their small size, they offer the same deep black shine and professional quality as larger versions. They bring a spark of life to even the tiniest characters, giving them a sweet and focused expression.
Why choose the 4 mm size:
Perfect for Miniatures: Ideal for projects using fine yarn (lace or light fingering weight) and small hooks.
Secure Fit: Includes small but sturdy washers that snap firmly onto the back stems.
Certified Safety: Tested to EN71-3 standards, ensuring they are free from harmful substances.
High Quality: Made from smooth polystyrene that catches the light beautifully.
Include: 20 sets.
Safety Tip: For extra security on these small components, we recommend melting the tip of the stem after attaching the washer. Use a lighter to carefully heat the end until soft, then press it flat to create a permanent lock.
Material: polystyrene (eyes) and polyethylene (washers).
Safety & Mounting Guidelines:
Secure Attachment: Yarn naturally stretches and loosens over time. To ensure your handmade toy meets the same safety standards as store-bought items, a secure mounting process is vital.
Melting Technique: For maximum security, we recommend melting the tip of the safety eye stem flat after attaching the washer. This creates a permanent "rivet" that is wider than the washer hole, preventing the eye from pulling through even if the stitches expand.
Creator Responsibility: Creating toys for children under three carries great responsibility. Ensure eyes are solidly affixed and inspect your projects regularly to maintain safety as time passes.
