No. Despite the name, the listed content is 50% wool and 50% acrylic, and the label gives the wool simply as wool. The half-and-half blend gives natural warmth from the wool and a hard-wearing everyday fabric from the acrylic. If you want 100% merino, look at YarnArt Imperial Merino.

Is Merino DeLuxe 50 good for kids' and baby clothes?

Yes. It is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and the wool-acrylic blend is warm, breathable and tough enough for everyday children's sweaters, hats and blankets. It is a light (DK) weight on 3.5–4 mm needles, so small sizes knit up quickly. Follow the label care: a gentle 30 °C hand wash, then dry flat.

How many balls of Merino DeLuxe 50 for a baby blanket?

Plan on 3–4 balls for a pram or cot blanket of about 75 × 90 cm. A blanket that size in DK-weight yarn typically takes 800–1,100 m, and each 100 g ball holds 280 m. Cables, moss stitch and other textures use more yarn than stockinette, so lean towards four. An adult hat fits in one ball.
