Does YarnArt Adore pill?

Adore is spun from anti-pilling acrylic, so it is far less prone to the little fuzz balls that standard acrylic forms where fabric rubs, such as cuffs, underarms and elbows. That makes it a sensible pick for school sweaters and kids' wear that are worn and washed constantly. Turning garments inside out before washing reduces surface friction even further.

How many balls of YarnArt Adore do I need for a baby blanket?

Plan on 3–4 balls for a knitted baby blanket of about 75 × 90 cm. A DK blanket that size typically uses 800–1,100 m, and each 100 g ball of Adore holds 280 m (1,000 ÷ 280 ≈ 3.6). Crochet uses roughly a quarter to a third more yarn, so allow 4–5 balls for a crocheted version.

YarnArt Adore or YarnArt Finland – which is better for a winter sweater?

Choose Adore for a lighter, smoother sweater that resists pilling, and YarnArt Finland for a thicker, cosier knit. Both are 100% acrylic and machine washable, but Adore gives 280 m per 100 g on 4 mm needles, while Finland gives 200 m per 100 g on 4.5 mm and makes a denser fabric. Can you machine wash Adore yarn?

Yes, finished Adore pieces are machine washable. Use a gentle cycle with mild detergent, then reshape and dry flat rather than hanging, because damp acrylic knitwear can stretch under its own weight. Keep a hot iron and strong steam away from the fabric, as heat can permanently flatten acrylic and change how it drapes.
